La Encantada is a luxury mall in north Tucson with an open outdoor design. While strolling through the open-air shopping center, you get stunning views of the Santa Catalina Mountains. This is an excellent option for a relaxed date night. I prefer to go in the evening when the string lights illuminate the courtyard and breezeway, but even in the daylight, you cannot deny the beauty of the architecture. There are many terrific photo opportunities throughout the mall with a brightly colored mural, many fountains, and a big fireplace to relax around.

While window shopping, I always try to stop in at Lush. It is the only location in Tucson, but it originates from the U.K. and has expanded all over North America. The products are fresh from organic ingredients they do not test on animals, and they are not full of preservatives. They smell amazing and feel amazing. Some of the well-known products are the shampoo bars, lotion bars and bath bombs. All products are 100 percent vegetarian and 95 percent vegan.

Our last date night my husband and I came upon The Candle Store obviously it has a variety of candles, but you can also make your own quality candle! You can choose from a variety of scents and colors to customize your candle. The process is very quick your basically mixing a few ingredients then pouring them into a container. You will have to return to pick up your candle so it can setup and they can add a wick. The candles are loaded with scent, and it was a fun quick activity we got to enjoy together.
A new addition to the La Encantada is the LOVE SAC! We had our eye on the Love Sac sectionals, but they are kind of expensive and we wanted to try them out first and get a good look at them. There are display couches so you can try them out with the different options and get all the information you would want before purchasing. We were really excited to try one out and it is definitely on our wish list for future purchases.
The mall has an art gallery and clothing boutiques along with jewelry stores and a spa. Most of the stores are pricey but one we found Attic Salt/ Fuego has very reasonable priced merchandise that is fun and quirky. The store carries funny sox, t-shirts and novelty items that are great for gifts, and they tend to have a sale going on as well.
If all that window shopping made you hungry there are plenty of dining options at La Encantada or nearby. We went recently with the kids and grabbed a quick bite at AJ’s and a gelato from Frost. Their use to be a really neat toy store but it is gone unfortunately. Our kids enjoyed posing in front of the lizard mural and walking around the open breezeways, but we definitely missed the toy store.
