An Oasis in the Desert

A great way to kill a couple hours is to stop at Le Buzz Café the Tanque Verde location and grab a bite to eat before heading to Agua Caliente Park. I have not found anything on the menu that I didn’t like. I ordered a curry chicken sandwich, and my husband got the tuna sandwich they had great flavor and interesting components. They have an excellent variety of beverages and juices that are unique and refreshing. I love how smooth the coffee is and went with the Iced vanilla latte. We always grab a Le Buzz cookie to go for the kids. This café is not only family friendly it’s dog friendly too. There is outdoor seating that is perfect for you and your pooch to relax while grabbing a tasty treat. The kids enjoyed their lemonade and Le Buzz cookie on our way to Agua Caliente Park, it is only a 12-minute drive.

Agua Caliente Regional Park

Agua Caliente Park is a little oasis in the desert with palm trees scattered through out and around the turtle filled pond. There are picnic tables and benches throughout the park. Our favorite spot is the little island that you cross a bridge to access. When you stand at the edge of the island all the turtles come swimming up to see if you have any snacks for them. People often bring frozen peas to toss to the turtles. Agua Caliente is a great spot for bird watching or simply taking a stroll. Dogs are welcome at the park just be considerate and clean up after your pet.  If you just want to get out of the house for a couple of hours grabbing a coffee and baked good from Le Buzz then heading over to Agua Caliente Park for a stroll is the perfect non-time committal activity.

Agua Caliente Regional Park is a 101-acre park full of natural wild life and plant life. The park has an extensive network of paved and gravel trails. Stroll and enjoy the beautiful scenery with signs that explain the geology and history of the park.
